Doing Business with GSA, and How to Apply to Get on a GSA Schedule
The first portion of this two-part training will focus on how to do business with GSA by providing an
overview of GSA’s OSDBU (Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization), and an introduction to several divisions within GSA - including PBS (Public Building Service) and FAS (Federal Acquisition Service). You will learn about GSA’s mission, and what, when, and how GSA buys goods and services. You will also gain insight into how your business can find potential opportunities that meet your core capabilities.
The second portion of this training will focus on how to sell to the government via a GSA MAS (Multiple Award Schedule) contract. Also known as GSA Schedule, and/or Federal Supply Schedule – a GSA MAS contract is an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ), long-term contract managed by GSA. The GSA Schedule was developed to assist federal agencies in purchasing products and services, and to help streamline the government’s buying process. During this training you will learn about the eligibility criteria needed to become a GSA MAS contract holder, how to conduct market research to determine if there is a need for your products or services, and how to determine if your business can be competitive with other businesses selling similar products or services. You will also learn about the advantages of being on a GSA MAS Schedule contract.

Cybersecurity Overview & Updates, and Innovation
In recent years new cybersecurity requirements have been issued for Federal government contractors. The first session of this two-part training will provide a brief overview about current cybersecurity requirements, recent updates you should be aware of as a Federal government contractor, and feature a cybersecurity panel discussion.
The second part of this training will highlight the Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) program. SBIR/STTR programs are an important source of early-stage technology funding for small businesses to engage in federal research, and research and development (R&D) with the potential for commercialization. You will receive a brief update about STTR, and also learn how this program has helped R&D focused entrepreneurs, and advanced R&D research and development in various technology areas.
